Hypnosis operates on the basic theory that physical or emotional upset may occur because of an individual's lack of resources to meet challenges due to an initial sensitizing event. A certified hypnotist is trained to implement various techniques to alleviate the emotional charge or negative emotions that may arise from these various events. In doing so, the client will generally experience improvement in related symptoms as they relate to the specific events. Hypnosis is the primary tool I use to facilitate improvement in these individuals. I am not a physician or mental health care professional and I do not represent myself as such. I do not represent my services as any form of health care or psychotherapy, and despite extensive research to the contrary, by law I may make no health benefit claims for my services.
Rates and Cancellations: My charge for hypnosis is $200 per 2-hour session. I offer Veteran, First Responder and Senior discounts. Payment is due at the time of the appointment. Sessions will be arranged between the client and the practitioner at mutually agreed upon times. Because my available session times are limited, I request 24 hours notice if you are unable to keep your appointment. No-shows or cancellations less than 24 hours are subject to charge at the regular session rate. These rates are valid as of January 1, 2017. Any change in fees will be communicated at least 60 days in advance.
Redress: I am a certified member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, and practice in accordance with its Code of Ethics and Standards. If you have a complaint about my services or behavior that I cannot resolve for you personally, you may contact the National Guild of Hypnotists at P.O. Box 308, Merrimack, NH 03054-0308, (603) 429-9438, to seek redress. Other services than my own may be available to you in the community. You may locate such providers through typical means, such as on the internet or in local directories.
Client Rights: It is a client's right to know at any time why any process is being taken part in. It is a client's right that he/she will be free from any physical, verbal or sexual abuse. It is also a client's right to know the estimated duration of the hypnotherapy process. All conversations and transactions between the practitioner and client are confidential and shall not be disclosed, except by client written authorization, or as otherwise prescribed by the laws of the state of Oregon. The practitioner may record sessions with the understanding that such recordings shall remain confidential unless by client written authorization. The client has a right to view or make copies of his/her file. I will not release any information to anyone without a written authorization from you, except as provided for by law. You have a right to be allowed access to any written records I have about you. The client has a right to know that other practitioners in the community may be available to work with the client. Various publications available in local bookstores or from organizations specializing in hypnotherapy may list such practitioners. The client may change practitioners for any reason at any time. The client may refuse any treatment at his/her determination. The client may assert these rights without retaliation.
Education and Training: I was professionally trained in hypnotism at NW Hypnosis Institute and have been practicing hypnosis professionally since 2014. I am a Certified Member of the National Guild of Hypnotists and I do annual continuing education to maintain my training at a high level. The National Guild of Hypnotists is the oldest and largest hypnotism organization in the world and its certification is the most widely recognized credential for the professional practice of the hypnotic arts.
